The Louisville Irish Fest came back home to Bellarmine University, the place where it all began, and was bigger and better than ever! Keltricity was thrilled to be invited to play two sets on Sunday.

Our first set, performed on the Pub Stage, was a challenge to say the least. While the powerful sounds of the celtic rock band Needfire came rolling towards us through the ca nyon (th e space between buildings where most of the activities took place) Keltricity prevailed by delivering our brand of celtic over the top of the roar.
Later that day we took the Main Stage and gave the audience what they came for, going from instrumentals to a capella and everything in between. When it came time to play "Ready for the Storm" mother nature joined us as a guest artist with a wind that nearly blew the banners off the wall.
All in all Keltricity had a great time and look forward to playing again next year. As Robert Tincher commented on the KYIrishTrad list, "I would say that based on this year's success, the Fest is well on the way to re-establishing itself as Kentucky's premier Celtic music event. I'm
already looking forward to next year".
Oh yeah... Robert also said, "Among the highlights I personally enjoyed were performances by two new groups: great traditional tunes on Saturday from Splitbow, featuring Josh Bailey on uillean pipes and Rachel Blanton on fiddle, and, reflecting the popular side of the genre, Sunday's set by Keltricity, which climaxed with Dougie MacLean's "Ready For the Storm" and a powerful wave of vocal harmony". Thanks Robert.
